The exclusive Borneo Eagle Resort is romantically situated on a tropical island off the coast of Kota Kinabalu. On the island of Pula Tiga of only 15 km² with idyllic beaches and tropical jungle are 13 comfortable situated villas characterized by Malayan architecture, natural materials and traditional decorations. Borneo Eagle Resort is a place for peace seekers. But it is certainly worth to discover the rich flora and fauna of the island. Around the island is a beautiful underwater world that you can explore while snorkeling or diving. You reach the resort from the airport of Kota Kinabalu after approx. a 15 minutes’ drive and approx. 20 minutes by the resort’s speedboat.
Open lobby with reception. At the beach you find an infinity pool surrounded by sun terrace with sunbeds and parasols. There is also a pool bar. The spa treatments of the Echo Wellness Spa are given in the privacy of your own villa. The Echo Wellness Spa has an extensive range of massages and body treatments. On the Spa “menu” there are many holistic treatments using the volcanic sand of Pulau Tiga. There are several non-motorized water sports offered such as kayaking and sailing.
Facilities are based on accommodation and breakfast. The resort has the following restaurants and bars: The Eagles NesT: modern decorated restaurant located at the beach, serves modern Western and Asian cuisine. The Landing: beach bar for drinks before or after dinner with a view of Mount Kinabalu in clear weather. The Sand bar: at the pool for snacks, lunch and refreshing drinks. A romantic dinner on the beach can certainly be arranged. 24-hour room service.
The 13 detached villas are located near the beach and are decorated with many natural materials. They have a flat-screen TV, iPod docking-station, Nespresso machine, minibar, yoga mat and safety box. Terrace with seats and sunbeds. Bathroom with bath and separate shower.
Pool Villa (approx. 171 m², max. 3 guests): living room with dining table and sitting area, separate bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. Terrace with sunbeds, private swimming pool of approx. 45 m² and direct access to the beach.
Coral Villa (approx. 261 m², max. 3 guests): living room with dining table and sitting area, separate bedroom with king-size bed and spa-treatment area. Terrace with sunbeds and direct access to the beach.
Spa Villa (approx. 287 m², max. 3 guests): large villa with separate living room, bedroom and a spa-treatment room with garden. Terrace with sunbeds, plunge pool and direct access to the beach.
