The Oberoi Mauritius is an exclusive hotel, built in Asian/African style with beautiful villas located in a stunning subtropical garden. Surrounded by turquoise bays with white sandy beaches and ideal for guests who love their privacy. The hotel is nestled in the magnificent ‘Baie aux Tortues’ in the northwest of Mauritius. At 60 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from Grand Baie.
Impressive lobby, 2 swimming pools, surrounded by sun terraces, 2 tennis courts and kids club (4-12 years). Furthermore, the hotel offers a variety of water sports facilities such as water skiing, windsurfing, snorkelling and kayaking (free) and possibilities for deep-sea fishing, diving and catamaran excursions (available at an additional charge). Courses in gastronomy, painting- or sculpture classes. Also cooking classes, wine- and rum tastings, library with a wide selection of books and DVDs. The Oberoi Spa is a true temple of well-being, a haven for oriental and Indian massages.
The treatments are inspired by Ayurveda, an ancestral Indian method that is considered a philosophy and a real art of living. Modern fitness room with steam bath. The Restaurant is a gourmet restaurant for breakfast and à la carte dinner with oriental dishes. The restaurant ‘On The Rocks’, for light meals during lunch and grill specialties for dinner. Restaurant Gunpowder offers Japanese dishes. The Bar is located on the beach with a wide range of wines, cigars and cocktails. In-villa dining is possible.
The 71 pavilions and villas are spread out over an 8 hectare tropical garden, overlooking the gardens or the sea. The rooms are decorated in natural shades with spacious lounge area and master bedroom. Luxurious bathroom with sunken tub and separate shower, air conditioning, coffee-/tea making facilities, safety box, minibar, telephone, DVD-player, Nespresso machine, iPod-docking station, flat-screen TV and large terrace. Room occupancy 2 adults + 1 child.
Luxury Pavilion (70 m²): beautifully decorated room with large terrace and overlooking the sea or the gardens. Villas can be combined.
Luxury Villa (275 m²): detached walled villa with private garden, large terrace and pavilion for a romantic dinner under the starry sky. Garden-/sea view and lots of privacy. Can be combined with a Luxury Pool Villa. Also possible with a private swimming pool (Luxury Pool Villa approx. 325 m²).
Premier Pool Villa (325 m²): situated directly on the beach. Separate living- and bedroom. Private garden and swimming pool. Pavilion for al fresco dining.
Luxury Pool Villa – 2 bedrooms (approx. 650 m², max. 4 adults + 2 children): located in a 600 m² walled subtropical garden with 2 open-air pavilions for dining under the stars. This combined villa has 2 swimming pools, 2 bedrooms; one with a kingsize bed and one with 2 twin beds.
Royal Villa (650 m²): nice living room, separate bedroom and a 50 m² swimming pool. Large terrace, private garden and stunning sea views.
