Hiking in the Holly Valley – Qadisha

The Qadisha Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in North Lebanon. It is a beautiful and historic valley that is home to many monasteries, chapels, and hermitages. The valley is also a popular hiking destination, and there are many trails that lead to stunning views of the valley and the surrounding mountains.

The hike (3-4 hrs) starts from the Maronite patriarch old residence down to the valley. Along the way, you will pass by many of the most famous convents in the valley, including the Monastery of Mar Qannubin, the Monastery of Our Lady of Qozhaya, and the Monastery of Mar Lichaa. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the valley, including the Qadisha River, the Cedar Forest, and the Qornet es-Sawda mountain.
