Saint Charbel, a Lebanese monk, lived a life of hard work and devotion to God. He died in 1898 and was canonized in 1977. His tomb is located in the monastery of Mar Maroun Annaya, a simple building in the peaceful green of Annaya. The monastery is a popular destination for pilgrims, who come to pray and reflect in the tranquil atmosphere.
