Day 1-2: Reykjavik, Iceland Private transfer to your hotel for 1 night stay. The northernmost capital of the world is home to more than half of the island’s total population.

Day 3-6: The south and east coasts of Iceland; Heimaey, Djupivogur , Eskifjoerdur , Bakkagerdi. You will discover Iceland with the MS BREMEN, passing active volcanoes and rugged islands, through deep fjords and to picturesque villages. The cruise starts with the Westman Islands, located almost 10 km off the south coast. Heimaey, the largest island, was destroyed by a volcanic eruption in 1973. Today an island tour through Heimaey will warm the heart of every explorer. Admire the natural contrasts from above with flight over volcanoes and waterfalls; carpets of green moss and glacier rivers. The main island will also appeal to you as you experience the intensity and beauty of nature every day of the cruise. Djupivogur, in the region of the rarely visited eastern fjords. Start your glacier adventure from here to Vatnajoekull, Iceland’s largest glacier at about 8,000 km². When you see the bizarre and spectacular volcanic landscape of Askja from the air, it feels like you are on a different planet. A more active way to experience nature here is to go out with Icelandic horses that are renowned for their friendly attitude.

Day 9-11: The West Coast of Iceland; Isafjoerdur, cruising off Latrabjarg, Flatey, Stykkisholmur. The west side of the island awaits you, with its deep grooved coast and high mountains. The natural landscape of Isafjoerdur is characterized by its remote location and tranquility. This fishing village built on a sandbank is bursting with history. A boat trip takes you to an area populated by numerous eider ducks, black guillemots and Nordic terns. Hiking on the island of Flatey is also possible. The Snaefellsnes peninsula is a paradise for geologists and volcanologists. It is dominated by the volcano Snaefellsjukull, covered with ice and snow and rises almost 1,500 m.
