MYANMAR DISCOVERY

Day 1-2: Flight via Germany to Sri Lanka, Colombo. The capital of Sri Lanka offers good museums, parks and beautiful Buddhist temples that are all worth a visit. It is a fascinating fusion of colours and cultures.

Day 3: Galle, Sri Lanka; 08.00-18.00 hours. The colonial past and the spice trade are always present in Sri Lanka. Take a relaxing stroll through the old city and discover the Dutch fort, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, or the picturesque beach of Unawatuna.

Day 4-6: Cruise days at sea. Enjoy all that MS EUROPA 2 has to offer.

Day 7: Pula Aceh, Indonesia; 07.00-14.00 hours. Deserted white beaches framed by coconut palms. Enjoy a morning in this idyllic setting.

Day 8: Ko Phi Phi Islands, Thailand; 08.00-14.00 hrs. Zodiacs are the perfect way to explore the island with its sandy beaches and turquoise waters – the ideal place to swim and relax.

Day 9: Langkawi, Malaysia; 07.00-16.00 hours. Explore the relaxed charm of Langkawi with its fishing villages and peaceful rice fields. Langkawi has colourful myths and legends, dramatic mountains and vast, pristine beaches. Start with a visit to Eagle Square. Discover the impact of rice farming in Malaysia during a visit to the Laman Padi Langkawi.

Day 10: Kuala Lumpur (Port Kelung), Malaysia; 08.00-20.00 hours. Kuala Lumpur, or KL among the local population, intrigues visitors with its diversity and multicultural character. The old city district has vast retail properties that refer to the colonial past, while modern buildings, such as the iconic Petronas Towers, give an insight into the financial ambitions. A city with culturally colourful districts dedicated to Chinese, Malay and Indian communities.

Day 11-12: Singapore; arrival 13.00 hours. You will have the whole afternoon to discover Singapore and will stay on board the MS EUROPA 2 tonight. Singapore, a former British trade colony, now an independent island state, has developed into one of the world’s most prosperous countries. With ultramodern skyscrapers combined with a mixture of Chinese, Indian and Malaysian influences, Singapore is a dynamic city rich in contrast and colour, exhibiting a harmonious mix of culture, cuisine, art and architecture. On day 12 you will fly back via Germany.
