Unforgettable magic of the Pacific: Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea – the names alone of these little jewels in the Pacific Ocean incite to a certain desire. Relax in the shade of coconut palms, enjoy the view of the colourful game of light on the ocean or snorkel in shallow bays. Make your dreams come true on the white beaches of the South Pacific.
Day 1-3: Papeete, Tahiti. Private transfer to your hotel. 3 overnight stays. The islands of Polynesia are a beautiful collection of volcanic islands and atolls, idyllically scattered over the Paci c Ocean. Tahiti is the largest of the 118 islands and atolls that include French Polynesia.
Day 4-5: Papeete, Tahiti; departure the next morning. Private transfer to the port, embarkation and overnight stay on board.
Day 6: Moorea, French Polynesia; 08:00-16:00 hours. Moorea is just 11 miles from Tahiti with its spectacular bays. The volcanic peaks, re ected in the waters of Cook’s Bay and Opunohu Bay, rises up from the island like a shark beak. Seeing sharks at almost every dive makes these islands a popular diving destination. Sometimes a tuna passes by or dolphins are heard clapping, just out of sight.
Day 7: Fakarava, French Polynesia; 08:00-18:00 hrs. The second largest atoll of the Tuamotu atolls. The most important village is Rotoava. The rst European who arrived at the Fakarava atoll was the Russian explorer Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen in 1820. He originally called this atoll ‘Wittgenstein’.
Day 8: Cruise day at sea.
Day 9: Nuku Hiva, French Polynesia; 08:00-18:00 hrs. Nuku Hiva, the largest of the Marquesas Islands, is a beautiful volcanic island with mountains of almost 1,000 meters high, with capricious walls that lead into the immense ocean. Melville called it ‘a land of indescribable beauty. Discover waterfalls and rivers and stone ‘tiki’ statues hidden in the forest.
Day 10: Cruise day at sea
Day 11: Rangiroa, French Polynesia; 08:00-17:00 hrs. In the small villages you can discover the real atmosphere of the Tuamotu, often participating in the daily activities of the Paumotu population. The inland lagoons are a paradise for breeding black pearls, sh farms, snorkeling and diving.
Day 12-13: Bora Bora, French Polynesia; 13:00- 19:00 hrs the next day. Bora Bora is located 240 km northwest of Tahiti on the Society Islands. The main island is surrounded by a multi-coloured lagoon, surrounded by ‘motu’ islands within a protective coral chain. The lagoon is world famous for its beauty. A partially paved road around the island passes colourful villages and archaeological sites.
Day 14: Raiatea, French Polynesia; 08:00-23:00 hrs. Raiatea and Taha’a are two separate islands on the same lagoon, located between Huahine and Bora Bora. Raiatea is the second largest island of French Polynesia after Tahiti. The island reveals green valleys, numerous waterfalls and pineapple vanilla plantations. Discover the fascinating underwater landscape in the deep lagoon of Raiatea, rich in sh and surrounded by mountains.
Day 15: Huahine, French Polynesia; 08:00-18:00 hrs. One of the most picturesque and geographically very di erent islands, enclosed in a separate lagoon, is approx. 75 km2 in size. The highest point of the island, Mt. Turi is about 700 m and is located on Huahine Nui.
Day 16: Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia; arrival 08:00 hrs, disembarkation.
