Dozens of museums, architectural highlights and other places are worth a visit. With 3.3 million visitors a year, Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia is by far the most popular attraction. Strolling on the 1200 meter long Las Ramblas is a must.

Day 3: Tarragona, Spain. Besides visiting all Roman sights there is much more to do in Tarragona. Get lost between the narrow streets of the old town of Tarragona and visit the cathedral and Jewish quarter.

Day 4: Palamos, Spain. The Catalan city of Palamós was founded as a harbour, in the 13th century by the King of Aragon. It still has an active fishing fleet; the ‘gamba de Palamós’ belongs to the seafood delicacies.

Near Port-Vendres, discover the beautiful Collioure, a favourite destination of Matisse, with its characteristic pink-beige houses, colourful harbour, winding streets and beautiful church and the nearby Elne with its impressive cathedral and beautiful cloister. Or visit Carcassonne, a breathtaking fortified town on a hill with turrets, churches, stained-glass windows and beautiful 19th century squares. Look for antiques, contemporary art and reproductions, but also for local crafts.

Day 6: Cassis, France. Cassis, a beautiful fishing village in southern France, near Marseille. A versatile village with the harbour as its beating heart. SeaDream is anchored in the bay and offers a land adventure to the impressive Aix en Provence. Other options include taking a local boat to the calanques, walking along the coast, visiting some of the local vineyards, water sports, mountain biking or just relaxing in a Balinese bed on the yacht.

Day 8: Antibes, France. Slender, white yachts of millions of dollars float on the azure blue sea with the beautiful Côte d’Azur as a backdrop. The interesting old town invites with colourful flowers, trendy boutiques, galleries and restaurants and not to mention the market with a colourful range of products from the land and the sea.

Day 9: Nice, France. Disembarkation in the morning and end of your cruise.
