The volcanic peaks, re ected in the waters of Cook’s Bay and Opunohu Bay rises up from the island like a shark beak. Raiatea is the second largest island of French Polynesia after Tahiti. The island reveals lush green valleys, numerous waterfalls and pineapple and vanilla plantations. Day 17-18: Papeete, Tahiti; arrival 07:00 hours. The islands of Polynesia are a beautiful collection of volcanic islands and atolls idyllically scattered over the Paci c Ocean.
